Welcome to my ‘How Much Text Can You Fit On A 700×400 Pixel Image’ competition. I crown myself the winner.
Summer is coming to an end. I’m half sad, half MEGA EXCITED because of all the incredible (hopefully) books that are coming out in Autumn (Fall for my American friends). (OK technically it will still be Summer when some of these books are released, but I’m counting September as Autumn because it’s bloody cold in England.)
I imagine this is how fashion designers feel when they release a new collection.
It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you, my autumn 2018 collection:
SADIE by Courtney Summers
Release date: September 4th, 2018 (Wednesday Books)
I can’t put into words how much I want to read this book. When I was declined the ARC on NetGalley, I was devastated. DEVASTATED. Reading reviews of people who did get approved (grmbl) were only making me want this book more.
I have such incredibly high hopes for Sadie. It’s probably my most anticipated release of the year. I know Courtney Summers won’t disappoint.
WHAT IF IT’S US by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
Release date: October 9th, 2018 (HarperTeen)
Becky Albertalli AND Adam Silvera?? This HAS to be good, right? There’s no way this book won’t be good. Plus, look at the cover. I’m a sucker for a nice cover.
A VERY LARGE EXPANSE OF SEA by Tahereh Mafi
Release date: October 16, 2018 (HarperTeen)
The main thing that drew me to Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series was the captivating and unique writing style, so I’m excited to see what Mafi can do away from the world of Juliette & Warner.
The premise of this story sounds promising, plus it’s #ownvoices!
THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD: ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY by J.K. Rowling
Release date: November 16, 2018
I wasn’t the BIGGEST fan of the first Fantastic Beasts movie. But still, if anything even remotely related to Harry Potter comes out, I will be at the front of queue to collect and read every single little detail.
What books are you looking forward to this season?
Any recommendations for me based on the books above?
